My name is Jeremy Thompson and this is my website.
I am a driven educator with eight years of teaching experience. Throughout my career I have pushed myself to expand my impact beyond the four walls of my classroom. I have worked with LearnZillion to develop their free, online, CCSS-aligned curriculum. I collaborated with IDEO to come up with ways to engage parents in student learning. Also, I provide teacher feedback on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's education initiatives.

Collaborated with a pool of highly-qualified educators to design ways for parents to engage in student learning. Prototyped online tools and provided user feedback to refine ideas.
Engage rotating classes of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in effective instruction and exploration of language arts & science.
As part of the LearnZillion dream team I worked to design and create interactive video lessons as part of their free, online, CCSS-aligned curriculum.

Side Projects
The Math Slide Project
Unchartable
Time is a teacher's most precious resource. While teaching math I discovered that I was spending too much time pausing lessons to write equations or draw out examples. Networking with other educators showed that many other teachers faced the same issue. In response, I created a pilot project of individual lesson slides that correspond directly with Eureka Math and EngageNY lessons.
I met Benson teaching a class under a tree in Kenya while I was working with a local non-profit. He and thousands of other teachers in Kenya struggle to educate their students with the bare minimum of supplies. Working with Benson and a non-profit, I organized an effort to collect used educational charts and posters to send to Kenya for use in rural schools.
